Here’s what you need to know before you spend $100 on an Airguard mouse guard: The Standard version costs $50.
The $30, $40, and $50 versions cost $20, $30.
The newer version costs more.

Thunderbolt 3 is also a USB port that connects your computer and Thunderbolt 3 device to a single Thunderbolt port.
Thunderbolt devices have built-in Thunderbolt 3 ports on each end.
Thunderbolt connectors are also used for charging your MacBook Pros and other Macs, so they can also be used to connect an AirPort device to your PC or laptop.
Thunderbolt adapters are not supported by AirGuard (and they aren’t included with the mouse guards).
The $100 mouse guard includes a USB hub, but only the USB-P and USB-M ports.
It does not include Thunderbolt 3, so you’ll have to buy a USB 3 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter separately.

USB Type C connectors are the new standard for USB 3.0 devices, and they’re used to power Macs that are running Mac OS X. Mac Pros support USB 3 Type-A connections for Thunderbolt 3 devices, but there’s no Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 5 support for USB Type A. Thunderbolt 5 connections are also not supported on Macs.
You can add a Thunderbolt 4 port on a Mac Pro for $30 or an additional Thunderbolt 5 port on your Mac Pro to get Thunderbolt 5 on your PC for free.
You should also purchase a Thunderbolt 6 port on an existing Mac Pro that has an existing Thunderbolt 3 port on it for $40.
You’re looking at a total of $80 for a mouse guard that has Thunderbolt 3 on it.
