Tennessee National Guard jobs were on the chopping block this week, as the SEC announced its intentions to hire a total of 10 full-time guards.
According to a memo from the SEC’s recruiting arm, the decision will be made by the end of the month.
Tennessean Guard jobs are the lowest-paying positions in the country, and are the first in the SEC to go to a new coach since 2007.
That said, hiring a full-timers will give the league a significant boost in recruiting.
The Gator’s were not the only national guard jobs on the line this week.
Alabama and LSU also announced they are looking to fill vacant positions.
Georgia and Texas A&M also announced their intent to hire full-season guards.
