Defender Niko Guardsado will miss the next three games of the Melbourne City season after a calf injury, according to coach Darren Bent.
Guardado has made one appearance this season but has only played in two games.
He had been on the sidelines with an illness, but has recovered to play in City’s last three matches.
“Niko will be out of the team for the next few weeks,” Bent said on Sunday night.
“It’s just one of those things, we’ve had some calf issues that he hasn’t been able to recover from.
He’s been on it for a few weeks now, and we’ll assess the situation.”
Guardado is currently training with City’s youth academy, which is the first step in his recovery.
