A retired Texas police officer says he was forced to resign after he was accused of sexual misconduct.
He was hired to work at the department in 2010 but was terminated last year.
He said he was put on administrative leave after being fired, and he says he’s still waiting for the department to issue him a reinstatement.
In a video interview, he said he never had a problem with anyone but had an internal conflict with the new head of the department.
The retired officer said he left the department for personal reasons.
The Texas Department of Public Safety has said the officer was fired after a sexual harassment complaint against him.
He had been hired to help the department deal with its sexual misconduct problem.
It says it fired him after a probe determined the sexual harassment was not reported to the police department or the county attorney’s office.
